Whenever you type the domain name in your browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the website hosting account, but if that domain isn't linked to such an account or to an email service, it is parked. To put it differently, the domain is registered and you're its owner, but it doesn't have any content of its own. Rather, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it can be directed to any other URL of your choice. The benefit of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make certain that no one else is going to take it. In the meantime, it will not block a slot for a hosted domain inside your account. You may also park domains if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domain names with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main website as a way to protect a brand name.

You could un-park a domain address and host it inside your account just as easily and our system will do all the required adjustments - update the domain address servers, create DNS records for it, create a domain folder inside the File Manager area of your account, etcetera. If you have a lot of domain names registered through our company, you’ll be able to use a filter to check out only the parked or just the hosted ones for easier management. Having in mind that you could park a domain name only with the registrar, you can employ this function only for domains which are registered through us, but not through another provider.
